My Mission:
The Heart of Heart & Soul Wellness is to empower clients to live a healthy lifestyle by making consistent, sustainable changes. True wellness starts on the inside and works its way out to encompass all of life. No matter the end goal, creating a healthy mind, body and spirit begins inside and ends with outwardly visible results.
As a wife and mother, I understand the challenges women face as they balance work, home and family life. My personal life experience, combined with my training in Sports Medicine and Nutrition Science and over 20 years in the health and fitness industry have gifted me with a unique perspective when helping clients create a successful plan for reaching their goals.
My Story:
My personal journey with health and fitness started as a teen. I was involved in athletics and, like many young girls, I struggled with cultural messages for what true beauty looks like. I fought to reach this unattainable goal of perfection, but at the same time grew to love sports and fitness. I went on to receive my degree in Sports Medicine. I was energized by the thought of helping others live a healthy and active life.
This journey has brought me through the stages of stay-at-home mom with little ones and no time for me, to working full time away from my school-aged children who still need more than I can give. I now feel that I have found my sweet spot. Still working, running kids to events and striving to make our house a home; I continue to face the challenge of lack of time and understand the pressures women face when taking care of their own health. I have worked to obtain my certifications of Health Coach and Fitness and Nutrition Specialist through the American Council on Exercise and currently work with women of all ages in the fitness industry.
My Plan:
Understanding the importance of making time to care for myself, so I can better care for others, has led me to create a plan of action. I want to share this plan with my clients. No matter what age or stage you may find yourself in, it would be my pleasure to help you develop your own plan for a sustainable lifestyle change. It is important that my clients find a rhythm and set goals that are unique to their own journey. I am here to guide and encourage each client to move toward their own health and fitness goals so they can make changes that will last!
